My Story

Photography has always been a huge part of my life. I can remember in grade school spending hours in my room looking through old photo albums and rearranging pictures. No matter how small a moment seems at the time, there is something so special about being able to capture and cherish it forever.

I picked up photography after my husband and I bought our first D-SLR camera and visited Paris, France. I was so inspired by the history and artistry of the city…I can’t even remember how many times we filled and emptied our memory card! When we got home I spent hours taking portraits of my poor dogs, Oscar and Moose. They now shudder at the sound of my camera bag opening.

Several years have passed since that trip and so much has happened in our lives. My daughter, Layla, was born in 2009 and my family and I recently relocated to Midland, MI from our home in central Illinois. I went from working in a corporate environment to being a stay-at-home Mom…a job I can truly say I am blessed to have. We are now expecting our second child, a boy, due in November and life couldn’t be any more hectic. I love it.

I decided to start Tiny Dreams Photography for two reasons. First, I have always dreamed of owning my own business and second, I can’t imagine doing anything else but photography. Capturing special moments of my kids as they grow is so important to me and I can’t wait to share my passion with more families and help them treasure their little dreamers forever.
